University College of Engineering Arni – A Constituent College of Anna University Chennai was loomed in the year 2009 by the Government of TamilNadu. It is located in Thatchur, a small emerging area in Arni town, of Thiruvannamalai District.

The town is about 50 km from Vellore and 140 km from Chennai.

At the time of establishment, the Institution has offered 4 Under Graduate B.E. Degree programmes from the academic year 2009-2010 and an addition branch in Mechanical Engineering through Tamil as Medium of Instruction has been introduced right from the academic year 2010-2011.

Eligibility:-  The admission to UG programmes is purely based on the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary examinations.

Admission Process:-  

The admission notice is published in all the leading news papers and in the TNEA (TAMIL NADU ENGINEERING ADMISSION) website. The admission of students to all the programmes is through a Single Window Admission System, administered by Anna University. The higher secondary marks are scaled to 200, based on which the merit list/ ranks are released. Counseling is conducted based upon the ranking.
