For Higher Secondary Students
Candidates seeking admission to B.E/B.Tech courses should have complied with the norms prescribed by the Government of Tamilnadu. The norms would be the marks secured in the higher secondary board examinations and the marks obtained from competitive exams such as TNPCEE/CET. H.Sc, Academic and Vocational students should possess an aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and Vocational subjects put as required in the Anna University counselling from time to time.
H.Sc Academic and Vocational students is an aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and Vocational subjects put together should be:

Diploma Candidates
A pass with prescribed eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree course
B.Sc. Candidates
A pass with prescribed eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelors Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 years pattern with Mathematics as one of the core subjects at degree level.)

Admission Process:-
The admission notice is published in all the leading news papers and in the TNEA (TAMIL NADU ENGINEERING ADMISSION) website. The admission of students to all the programmes is through a Single Window Admission System, administered by Anna University. The higher secondary marks are scaled to 200, based on which the merit list/ ranks are released. Counseling is conducted based upon the ranking.

Gents hostel:- A home away from home provided for boys accommodating 1000 students in an area of 1.18.260 sq.ft.
The main hostel has 148 rooms which can accommodate 4 students per room .The rooms are allotted for second and third year of B.E /B.Tech, and PG students. The rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, Chairs etc.., The second boys hostel has 96 rooms which can accommodate 4 students per room .The rooms are allotted for the first year of B.E /B.Tech students. The rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, Chairs etc..,
Ladies Hostel:- A home away from home provided for Girls accommodating 800 students in an area of 1.02.400 sq.ft.
The main hostel has 128 rooms which can accommodate 4 students per room .The rooms are allotted for second and third year of B.E /B.Tech, and PG students. The rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, Chairs etc.., The second girls hostel has 41 rooms which can accommodate 4 students per room .The rooms are allotted for the first year of B.E /B.Tech students.
