Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2001. The college is run by the Srinivasan Education and Charity Foundation, which has been active in the field of education for more than 25 years. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated with the largest technical university, Anna University, Chennai and is reaccredited by the NAAC with an “B++” Grade.
In 2001, the College began with three Undergraduate Engineering programmes with an annual intake of 150 students, and now has 12 Undergraduate and 6 Postgraduate programmes with an annual intake of 1032 students.

Eligibility:- The admission to UG programmes is purely based on the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary examinations.
B.E. / B.Tech. (Regular)
Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of (10 +2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry Subject. (OR)
Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Vocational Stream (Vocational groups in Engineering / Technology) as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
B.E. / B.Tech. (Lateral)
The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.E. / B.Tech. in the branch corresponding to the branch of study. (OR)
The candidates who possess the Degree in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the B.Sc. level are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.E. / B.Tech. Such candidates shall undergo two additional Engineering subject(s) in the third and fourth semesters or fourth and six semesters respectively as prescribed by the respective Faculty.

Admission Process:-
The admission notice is published in all the leading news papers and in the TNEA (TAMIL NADU ENGINEERING ADMISSION) website. The admission of students to all the programmes is through a Single Window Admission System, administered by Anna University. The higher secondary marks are scaled to 200, based on which the merit list/ ranks are released. Counseling is conducted based upon the ranking.

MEN’S HOSTEL :- Exclusively, one block is provided for men, accommodating more than 650 students. The boys hostel has separate library, reading room, shuttle courts to facilitate the students.
GIRLS HOSTEL :- The college has separate hostel for women for accommodating more than 400 students are provided. The girls hostel has Shuttle courts, Table tennis to facilitate the students.
