Eligibility:-  The admission to UG programmes is purely based on the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary examinations.

Candidates must have passed 12th / HSC or its equivalent from a recognized board. Candidate must have passed his / her HSC level with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

A Pass with minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are provided below , Category wise

• OC  – 45 %
• BC / BC(M)  – 40 %
• MBC / DNC  – 40 %
• SC/ SC(A)/ ST  – 40 %

Admission Process:-  

The admission notice is published in all the leading news papers and in the TNEA (TAMIL NADU ENGINEERING ADMISSION) website. The admission of students to all the programmes is through a Single Window Admission System, administered by Anna University. The higher secondary marks are scaled to 200, based on which the merit list/ ranks are released. Counseling is conducted based upon the ranking.

General Eligibility for TNEA 2022
Candidates of Tamil Nadu who have passed 8 th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th standard from the schools located in the Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply and need not show any nativity certificate.

Candidates who have passed their 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th standard or its equivalent exam from schools located outside of Tamil Nadu state can also apply but have to show original nativity certificate only in electronic form/ digitally signed e-certificate.
