T.J.S.Engineering College was started in the year 2009 by T.J.SivanandaMudaliar Educational Trust.  The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution for its academic standards. The college is located in Thiruvallur District, Tamilnadu at a distance of about 30 Kms from Chennai on the Chennai- Vijayawada- Kolkata National Highway (NH5).

Eligibility:-  The admission to UG programmes is purely based on the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary examinations.

Candidates seeking admission to the First year B.E. / B. Tech. Degree Programme: 

A pass in the HSC (Academic: both +1 and +2) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together as given below. OR

Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Vocational stream (Vocational groups in A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject: both+1 and +2) as given below with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage put together as given below Category wise.

Lateral Entry:-

The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent is eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the second year of B.E. / B. Tech. In the branch equivalent to the branch of study. OR

The candidates who possess the Degree in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the B.Sc. Level are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the second year of B.E. / B. Tech. Such candidates shall undergo two additional Engineering subject(s) in the third and fourth semesters as prescribed by the University.
